Unheralded
began in early 2003 as an independent film company formerly known as Speaking
to the Dead Productions. Created as a vehicle for their short films, Shea
Sizemore and Paul Metzger built the foundation
of their small company on a love for storytelling and the burning desire
to create.
Through many
obstacles and shortcomings, slowly but surely the stories that churned within
their heads became real, tangible, and flickering on the screens in front
of you.
With
no delusions of greatness nor any desire for personal gain, S2D's movies
were created, with the sole purpose of learning the craft. As the years
passed and each film built upon the next, the young filmmakers could feel
within each project the growing ambition and desire to do more.
In
early 2007, Shea and Paul decided to start with a fresh slate. A clean battlefield
in continuing their quest for bigger and better projects. Building upon
what has already been established, the goal of Unheralded
is to take the stories and genres you already know, capture the elements
of every day life, and funnel them though the restless young minds of a
rag-tag group of guerrilla filmmakers that you never saw coming.
