The plot is obvious, so I won't bother but let me tell you what a great plot it is. Snakes on a plane is an excellent creepy concept that the filmmakers took to the limits. Some of the shots in the movie were amazing. I am not talking about CGI snakes or Fincher rip offs because believe me they were there. I am more talking about the long and wide shots of the movie with snakes pouring out of vents and people frantically trying to get from one plane to the other. They were truly emotionally effective. That's was the biggest thing about this movie for me personally. I went in expecting a fun stupid snake filled ride, which it was, but there were these little points throughout the movie where things got a little serious and legitimately more intense than expected.
Sam Jackson is far from being my favorite actor. But this role was perfect for him and his little cult following. This film will was one of his smartest choices next to Pulp Fiction. There were some other well known actors scattered throughout that were great surprises.
I really enjoyed this film. Destined to be one of the greatest cult classics. The only thing I regretted was not seeing it with someone who truly hates snakes.
