Liam Neeson plays a great character(not too different than all his others but still...) and the feel of the movie is not so far from Braveheart.
It reminded me of a movie where Braveheart and Last of the Mohicans were put in a can tossed around a bit.
Tim Roth did a disgustingly amazing performance that from what I understand gave him an Oscar nod. Brian Cox, Jessica Lang, and once again John Hurt also had solid performances.
I highly recommend the movie and would say most of the genre would enjoy it.
Great story, amazing characters, good Scottish cinematography and music, and well played violence.
