Bob Lee Swagger (Mark Wahlberg), a former Marine Corps sniper who leaves the military after a mission goes bad. After he is reluctantly pressed back into service, Swagger is double-crossed again. With two bullets in him and the subject of a nationwide manhunt, Swagger begins his revenge, which will take down the most powerful people in the country.

There are three things going for this movie and only three things so listen closely.

They are...
1) Marky Mark being the man.
2) Michael Pena being the second man.
3) Some super sweet, raw, and well shot action/sniper scenes.
Everything else causes the movie to fade away into the sea of mainstream cookie cut cinema.

Basically if "Rambo First Blood" had a child with "The Fugitive" it would be Shooter. You might say, "Well Shea that should be a handsome child indeed". And I would retort, "Well reader, its fine if you like your kid being like everyone else's kid and doing things you have seen all the other kids do. Little Rambo and cousin Harrison Ford came, saw, and conquered this genre.

Anyway...from the murmurs of the crowds coming out the theater doors it seems you either love it or hate it. Also take in account that I have seen this movie in three parts compiled from breaks during and after work. My disjointed viewing should be held in account if you are indeed interested in seeing this movie. Because there are some little gems in the rough I'm inclined to give it a....
