Thousands of years ago there was a series of bizarre occurrences that many believed to have been the Ten Biblical Plagues. No one thought they could happen again. Until now! BUM! BUM! BUM!
Academy award winning Hilary Swank leads a low rent cast of unbelievers into the heart of the swamplands to prove that these strange plagues have scientific credibility and are indeed not spiritually related. So let the cliches begin.
Not much original going for this flick. There are a couple startling moments and some editing that is kinda cool(for those of you who notice that sort of thing).
I could see the appeal for Swank to give the movie a shot BUT in the grand scheme of films this movie isn't even a blip on the radar. It suffers from the dry unrelateable plot that most spiritual films suffer from. They take something that needs to be simple and frank and make it all about taking over the world. They take something personal and creepy and spread it way too thin.
Other than the pretty awesome locust scene and the nasty looking boils this movie falls plague to the film angel of death(I am starting to have fun with these little puns).
